I got to play the beta over the weekend. It was fun..very different gameplay from MK 11. Kinda like Liu Kang so far. Really looking forward to playing with Baraka and Reptile once the game is released. Overall it’s made me hype for the series. We will see what happens IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS!! WOOT!

Back in 97 my sister bought our first PC for my mom and dad and me and my brother. It was a family computer and that same year a game was released called quake 2. The game has been Remasted and here…we…go…

I really wish more companies would do exactly what Nightdive Studios has done with this Remaster. Leave the game alone but improve only the graphics, sounds and perhaps add a few more stages to have fun with. This game maintains everything it did back in 97 but with a shine of polish added to keep it beautiful. Showing from it’s time it is a fast paced in your face shooter that sends you on a mission to save humanity. SIMPLE!

If you played Quake 1 you already have an idea what you are going to get with Quake 2. Running down halls killing enemies. However this game took a very different direction going into a more cybernetic Gore fest rather than the previous monster filled halls. It’s a question of rockets, shotguns and how to get past a large ray of enemies with no friendlies insight. Abandoned and alone you play the role of a Marine on a mission to finish a number of objectives.

You will collect weapons along the way and paying attention to health and armor is vital to getting past a number obstacles. The fact the game cost 10$ with a single player campaign, all the DLC and a Multiplayer option with an ADDED CHAPTER Exclusive to this remaster is a must have for anyone who’s looking for some fast paced shooting!

Sense Midnight is the Sequel to Sense A Cyberpunk Ghost Story. I wrote about the first one here.

While calling it a Sequel is very loose in title because this game on it’s own stands very different from the First game. While the First game full of color and a SideScrolling Horror Mystery genre. This game takes a completely different direction moving both into the 3D World of something you might find similar to Resident Evil, or Silent Hill. It’s also a much shorter game in terms of content and context. However it does add much to the universe and the story telling you want from the series so far.. In this game you play Kaho who comes to find a park with rumored cursed door that leads to a interesting story. In terms of context you will do a great deal of reading in the way of Chat boxes and Notes picked up throughout the park.

While a much darker game than its predecessor it also holds a much slower paced adventure in terms of detail. Having to look around each corner and having limited resources is something to be mindful with this game. The ghost this time will all attack you and finding spaces to defend yourself is tricky but fun and a much more thoughtful way of playing a game like this. Normally you would think it’s action would judge the pacing but this game does very little in terms of that. It’s more a search for details and a way of telling the story which is what brings the gold to this title.

Keeping close attention to what is happening around you is important. Sound cues will also help to finding what exactly is about to happen. Enemies can be ruthless at times but it adds to the method of finding the right approach for each section of the game. While I love this game and even have my silly name in the credits to it. I do feel like it could have been longer but in truth any addition to this universe is a plus to me.

Also for the price of less than 15$ on the eshop why wouldn’t you take the time to enjoy some well written classic survival horror!
